Orthopedic surgery

Intensive face-to-face practical training aimed at doctors in the surgical environment who seek to expand their knowledge and grow professionally in the field of their specialty. Each program is individually tailored to meet the needs of each attendee, adjusting the program content based on the fellow’s experience and concerns.

Philosophy

The main objective is that the fellow can apply the knowledge acquired immediately after completing the course and use it in their daily practice. To do this, we have developed a practical program in which our fellows will be able to be at the side of the expert surgeon while performing the surgeries, and may even participate in them.

The fellow will also participate in the activities in consultation with their professors, to learn the necessary exploration techniques, analysis of complementary tests, indications and decision making.

For each program there are 3 modalities (Basic, Advanced and Premium), and the cost varies according to the selected modality. To apply you must choose a program and a modality and send us:

– Curriculum vitae
– Passport
– Copy of specialist title or certificate of residence in progress.
– Medical insurance (upon arrival in Barcelona)
– Covid vaccination certificate

Our team will guide you step by step in the process of booking and planning your stay.

Modalidades

  • BASIC
  • Prior contact with those responsible for the training program
  • Participate as an observer in scheduled surgical sessions
  • Participate as an observer in the consultation of the specialist doctor

  • The stay is carried out jointly with 3 members, sharing the surgical sessions and assistance to the consultation

  • Shoulder arthroscopy practical session (with “Alex Shoulder”) with those responsible for the training program
  • Participate in the development of a scientific study, with the aim of publishing the results in a scientific journal
  • Recreational program: 2 dinners with those responsible for the FB program, ticket for the FCBarcelona soccer match (or sport of your choice)
  • Possibility of extending the plan: With an added payment, access to the ability to discuss clinical cases with those responsible for the program and follow-up of surgical skills for 6 months after the stay.

  • Participate as an assistant in scheduled surgical sessions
  • Participate as an observer in the consultation of the specialist doctor

  • The stay is done individually

  • Participate in the development of a scientific study, with the aim of publishing the results in a scientific journal

  • Ability to discuss with those responsible for the program clinical cases and monitoring of surgical skills for 6 months after the stay
  • Leisure program: 4 dinners with those responsible for the FB program, ticket for the FCBarcelona football match (or sport of your choice), advice prior to the stay on logistics (hotels, tourism, …), coverage of transfers for travel during the entire stay.
